New Contributors, plus a few notes
Traffic and activity on this site has exploded since we launched the last tournament, so we’ve enlisted a few new blog contributors. Let me introduce to you ‘joinks’ and ‘TheDonkeyPunch’. These two guys have taken the initiative to help other players (without my asking, mind you), and they have good ideas that can now be shared with a wider audience. I look forward to their contributions and hope you’ll join me in welcoming them. (Guys, it would be great if you started by posting a little bio, but I’ll leave that to you.)
A few other notes:
- No Shows. I’ve added a new “No Show” section to the Tournament Page, under Rules. Please read it, especially if you’re having trouble establishing a game right now. We will *definitely* be enforcing the no-show rule going forward, so PLEASE BE PROMPT in completing your games. We’d hate for you to be eliminated without finishing the contest.
- Courtesy. I am glad that 99% of this audience strives to be courteous and understanding with other players. Please continue observing good etiquette. This applies especially when commenting on the Round or when posting comments on blog articles, for everyone can see them. This hasn’t really been an issue (a few borderline comments, though), so just a reminder.
I’ll finish by saying another huge thanks to all of you who are making the tournament a success. Great things are yet to come!

These games are definitely more tense and in turn more fun. Big THANKS to everyone in the tourney and Always bloggermark. If anyone tweets, fbooks, etc. I’d like to know. You can can find me @xdjdx.
Thanks for the kind words bloggermark. I’m humbled to have the opportunity to help with wordswithfriends.net and to lend a hand in cultivating a community around one of the most insanely addicting games I’ve ever played. I’m by no means an expert in all things Words with Friends, but am learning a ton while playing and fetching answers to your questions.
I’m a dad, web designer, and runner out of Chicago — so how I have time for all of this I have no idea. As soon as I can play Words with Friends and use Run Keeper Pro side-by-side on an iPad propped on a treadmill, I’ll be set.
Massive kudos to bloggermark for putting this together in his free time. Are tournament games like 10 times more fun or is it just me? Good luck in round 2!
I L O V E playing WWF on the treadmill!
Race of choice is the half marathon (for now) and my wife has suggested playing and winning an entire game whilst running a race. HA! How fun that would be! =O)
Thanks joinks and Bloggermark for your contributions to this awesome extension of the WWF community! Absolutely LOVING the tournament play!
